The missing link between success and failure

I previously stated that in 2005 I had read the book “Enterprise Business Architecture—The Formal Link Between Strategy and Results”, authored by Ralph Whittle and Conrad Myrick. The book reinforced what I had believed for a long time, that most projects initiated to improve business processes, product design, re-engineering or software acquisition and implementation failed to some degree because companies really don’t know how their business operated at the transaction level, meaning how a department works, the people in that department do their jobs and how they’re all connected.
